Furtively flagged.

Last Saturday night, somebody in my trailer park took the liberty of gifting my flagpole with a Gadsden flag. Which neighbor was so generous remains a mystery. As I did not disturb the American flag on the pole when I moved into my trailer, I will not disturb the DTOM! flag. Let it serve as a warning for any unruly viralosities which may be floating around the trailer park...

Night smells...

The past few nights have been aromatic with the smell of skunk... drifting through my bedroom window. Because it's summer, and the billows of pollen have all but dissipated, I'm stubbornly keeping my trailer windows open to let in the fresh country air (that is, when the landfill odors aren't wafting through the trailer park). The le phew starts at dusk and doesn't dissipate until dawn. Even if I were to shut my windows, I know the skunk smell can penetrate the walls. It's done this already. How this happens is a mystery, though I suspect microscopic burrowing creatures may be at play...

I rarely venture out during pollen season, except for in the early morning to do my neighborhood walk and weed my weedful garden. Then it's back into my trailer for me before I sneeze my bloomin' head off!

Onion spikes!

I planted store-bough onions that were sprouting... and they're spiking for the sun... By mid-summer they'll be walking across the garden... And into my mouth! I love me some onions...
