Excavated!
The rat trailer was excavated and hauled away in less than a day last week. No exodus of rats. Just a giant toxic dust cloud, against which I shut all my windows. And turned my air purifier on full blast. And didn't venture outside until dusk. (So no video.) Word is the park will be putting another trailer in the lot ASAP; so I am enjoying the barren view while I can. A true vacant lot on one side, and an empty trailer on the other. Marked for excavation!
An excavator and two dumpsters now wait in the rat trailer yard. And the spray-painted markings and flags are oh-so-close to my garden. But I'm thinking these might be "do not dig here" designations. But two days later, still no sign of any trailer-razing. Now I imagine all the tree-dwelling creatures have fled from their former homes. Just as the rats will flee from their home when the trailer is finally flattened. Lucky for me, I've not seen nor heard any sign of new rat inhabitants in my trailer. The repellents are still workin
