Pine Tea

January 9, 2019

In the middle of a cold, raw, New Hampshire winter, pine needles are easy to forage, and homemade pine needle tea is a snap to brew. This tea is high in vitamin C, and so good for keeping colds at bay.

Gently dry the needles in a toaster oven, or on a baking sheet on top of a heat radiator or hot air vent. Whir dried needles in a spice grinder. Simmer a palmful of the pine needle powder in a mugful of water. Sip without sweetener for an authentic New Hampshire taste!
