My otherwise social-distancing neighbor across the lane braved The Rona and ventured onto my driveway to tell me the news about my crazy next-door neighbor Sheenan. She's the one who disappeared last winter and reappeared this summer. Turns out, last year when her mother was living in that same trailer with her, they got into a tussle. That's (one of the times) the cops were called. And now her (grown) kids don't want anything to do with her. A few days ago, the park called the cops to do a welfare check on her because she hasn't been paying lot rent, and her yard is now a jungle of overgrown grass and weeds. When the cops showed up, she didn't answer the door. So my neighbor across the lane called her and told her the situation. She finally answered the door, and the cops went in and saw the place was a mess. Half-eaten food and dishes piled everywhere. And she hasn't been letting her behemoth out to do doggie business, and so... well, you can guess the rest. So she's being evicted. If the park puts a lien on her trailer, they said they're gonna tow it to the landfill. But right now she's holed up in there. Guano cray-cray. My neighbor says when she orders delivery, sometimes she'll leave the untouched food containers on her porch overnight. Perhaps to feed the woodland creatures?
