Garden in the rain...

The above is a close-up of my garden centerpiece, a green onion which had sprouted from a store-bought white onion from last winter. I had been keeping it in a lidded plastic storage container for months (to keep it away from any potential rats), and when I took it out to plant last week, it was as verdant as ever. The store-bought sprouted potatoes are planted in the close perimeter. My asparagus is coming up -- I will harvest those soon, as they are an early spring crop. As for the rest of the garden, between breaks in the rain, I've planted everything from cabbage to catnip to cauliflower. Even cucumber! And some other seeds which don't start with "c" (for example, watermelon and pumpkin).

And of course, sunflowers and marigolds...

And tomatoes!
